and PKard Assistant recognizes the SmartTerminal XX44, but neither KeyChain Access nor PKard Assistant notice when I insert my GEMALTO CAC. The reader's light doesn't flicker when I insert the card either.
/Library/Logs/com.thursby.pki is zero bytes, so nothing is getting written.
The CAC works just fine on another machine which has an SCR3310 reader on it. Unfortunately I can't swap the readers.
Any suggestions before I ask for a refund for PKard?
I'm trying to install a cherry smart card (CAC) reader on my iMAC G5 OSX 10.4.11. I have downloaded the driver but see that I need to install PCSC lite 1.1.1 of PCSC Framework before loading the driver. To load those middleware products I have to perform (I think) a manual installation, which requires entering text such as: './configure' etc. I don't know how to get to something that looks like a 'DOS' page on my MAC that would allow me to manually enter the program. I've searched high and low for answers..can anyone help?

I see a lot of snark and very little info, so from the IT's Fingertips here is the answer. Let me explain, When I login to my NMCI webmail account my server is hosted on the East Coast so I login to if I was on the West coast it would be When I use my Air Force account its because my mail server is at Scott AFB. Check email with cac reader for mac. Once you know the web address and default server location you can access it was a CAC. The Navy and Air Force have it so I would assume the Army does. First off you need to make sure that your Command / Branch has webmail enabled.
